Zugegeben, von Alcatel habe ich die letzten Jahre so gut wie gar nichts mehr gehört, war doch das französische Unternehmen in früheren Zeiten stark auf dem Handymarkt vertreten. So wurden damals meist für Netzbetreiber Handys gefertigt, die anschließend mit jeweiligem Branding an die Kunden veräußert wurden. Umso erstaunlicher finde ich es, dass Alcatel gleich mit drei neuen Smartphones die Bühnen der CES 2013 betritt.
Wegen der Übersichtlichkeit haben wir alle drei Modelle separiert und listen diesen untereinander auf. Was alle drei Modelle miteinander verbindet, ist der optional erhältliche, kapazitive Stylus mit dem die folgenden Geräte wie ein Samsung Galaxy Note bedient werden können. Weiterhin möchte Alcatel von Beginn an jede Menge Accessoires anbieten, so zum Beispiel Schutzhüllen, Flip Cover und ein Gerät um Displayinhalte drahtlos auf einen TV zu streamen (Wifi Display dongles for wireless connection to TV)
Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD
Das One Touch Scribe HD verfügt über ein 5 Zoll großes Display mit einer Auflösung von 1280×720 Pixel und wird von einem 1.2GHz starken MediaTek 6589 Prozessor angetrieben. Als Betriebssystem kommt Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean zum Einsatz und nach den ersten Bildern zu urteilen läuft es in seiner reinsten Form, also Stock Android. Auf der Rückseite des Gerätes wurde eine 8 Megapixel-Kamera verbaut.
Der 2500mAh starke Akku soll beim One Touch Scribe HD für eine lange Akkulaufzeit sorgen und der von Werk aus eher geringe Speicher von 4GB kann mittels microSD-Karte nochmals erweitert werden.
Alcatel One Touch Scribe X
Wie auch der Vorgänger besitzt das One Touch Scribe X ein 5 Zoll großes Display, allerdings mit Full-HD Auflösung und einem Quad-Core Prozessor mit 1.4GHz. Ob auch hier eine MediaTek CPU zum Einsatz kommt, wurde bisher noch nicht kommuniziert. Auf der Rückseite werkelt eine 12 Megapixel Kamera, die Frontkamera kann Videos in 720p aufnehmen.
Auch hier kommt Android 4.1.2 zum Einsatz.
Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD-LTE
Last, but not least, kommt wurde noch das Scribe HD-LTE vorgestellt. Im Grunde ist es identisch mit dem Scribe X, doch verfügt dieses Modell noch über ein LTE-Modem. In welchen Ländern und Gebieten dieses LTE-Modul funktioniert, ist bisher noch nicht bekannt.
